IT Specialist

Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment.
- Inventory of all Computer peripherals and equipment
- Completes all IT related projects
- Maintains technical knowledge and reviewing professional publications
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
- Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software and programming
- Efficient troubleshooting abilities
- Web Development
Qualification:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is often preferred.
- Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, Unix).
- Networking skills, including understanding of TCP/IP protocols.
- Experience with databases and database management systems (e.g., SQL)
- Cybersecurity knowledge, including understanding of security protocols and best practices
- Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Experience in system administration, network administration, or database administration.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for an IT Specialist. This includes the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
