Purchasing Associate

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Associate to join our team at Xymbolic IT Solutions Provider Corporation in Olongapo City Zambales. As a Purchasing Associate, you will play a crucial role in our Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics operations, responsible for efficiently managing the procurement of goods and services required for our day-to-day business activities.

1. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify purchasing needs and source the best suppliers and products
2. Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing
3. Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and inventory levels
4. Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality products
5. Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures
6. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the purchasing function
7. Provide regular reports and analysis to management on purchasing trends and performance

1. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics industry
2. Strong knowledge of purchasing principles, supply chain management, and inventory control
3. Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
4. Proficient in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and procurement software
5. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
8. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
