Job Summary

The Accounting Supervisor – Accounts Payable is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. This role supervises AP staff, enforces internal controls, and ensures compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Supervise and manage the Accounts Payable team, including task delegation, training, and performance monitoring
• Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process (invoice receipt, verification, approval, and payment)
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and employee reimbursements
• Review and approve payment batches (checks, bank transfers, online payments)
• Maintain and monitor AP aging reports and ensure timely settlement of obligations
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or billing issues
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements
• Coordinate with Procurement and other departments regarding purchase orders and payments
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable
• Prepare reports such as AP aging, cash disbursement summaries, and expense analysis
• Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation
• Recommend process improvements and automation initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting
