Job Summary

The Sales Engineers – HVAC is responsible for promoting and selling heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and solutions to contractors, consultants, developers, building owners, and industrial clients. The role combines technical expertise with consultative selling to identify customer requirements, prepare technical proposals, and achieve sales targets while building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential sectors.
  • Promote HVAC products and solutions, including chillers, VRF systems, split-type units, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems, cooling towers, and controls.
  • Conduct client visits to understand project requirements and recommend appropriate HVAC solutions.
  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, bid documents, and cost estimates.
  • Interpret project plans, mechanical drawings, and specifications to develop suitable solutions.
  • Work closely with consultants, contractors, architects, MEP engineers, and developers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage the sales process from lead generation to project award, delivery, and after-sales support.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contracts with clients.
  • Coordinate with engineering, estimating, procurement, and project teams to ensure timely project execution.
  • Monitor project pipelines, bidding opportunities, and competitor activities.
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market intelligence updates.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing technical support and prompt resolution of client concerns.
  • Achieve individual sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Licensed Mechanical Engineer is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of sales experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, building technologies, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, applications, and system design.
  • Experience in project sales, B2B sales, or technical sales.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and project specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD and CRM systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willing to travel for client meetings and project site visits.
