Business Development Manager - Industrial Sector (B2B, SAAS)
About the role
The Business Development role is crucial for connecting industrial equipment dealers with their markets across Australia. It involves building strong relationships, understanding dealer needs, and offering tailored solutions to boost growth. With experience managing teams and a strong leadership background, the ideal candidate will be proactive, commercially minded, and able to work independently with minimal direction.
This position is focused on prospecting and procuring sales opportunities in the industrial sector, particularly by selling membership subscriptions to industries like Earthmoving, Farming, Transport, and more.
Responsibilities- Use your expertise to consult with stakeholders and identify target customers aligned with company goals.
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve clearly defined KPIs through proactive outreach, including call metrics and product demonstrations.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to achieve financial targets and contribute to overall growth.
- Demonstrated track record of success in new business development, particularly within the industrial sector and B2B SaaS environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Proven ability to identify and qualify sales opportunities, develop effective sales strategies, and close deals
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the industrial sector, its challenges, and the competitive landscape
- Proficient in using CRM systems and sales enablement tools to manage the sales pipeline and reporting
- Degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
