Technical Design Engineer (Architectural Hardware)
US Ecommerce Startup Company
Are you a SolidWorks specialist who thrives on precision? ?️
The Company is looking for a Technical Design Engineer based in the Philippines to join our small, high-impact design team. This isn't just a drafting job; you will be the owner of the full product lifecycle, transforming rough US client concepts into mathematically precise, factory-ready 3D models.
The Role: You will report to our Senior Project Engineer, working directly with our US-based design team and international manufacturing partners. Your work will span everything from advanced surface modeling to CNC toolpath generation.
What You’ll Do:- Advanced 3D Modelling: Build parametric models for luxury hardware using Master Model techniques and C2/G2 surface modeling for complex decorative profiles.
- Tooling & CAM: Execute mold designs (core/cavity splits) and simulate 2.5 and 3-axis CNC toolpaths in SolidWorks CAM.
- Documentation: Produce 2D drawings with full GD&T and create photorealistic renders in SolidWorks Visualize.
- Experience: 4–6 years of SolidWorks as your primary tool (Surface Modeling and CAM preferred).
- Technical Breadth: Proficiency in both 3D parametric modeling and 2D production drawings with GD&T.
- Manufacturing Background: Experience in hardware, metalwork, casting, or CNC-heavy environments.
- Communication: C1–C2 level professional English for direct collaboration with US stakeholders.
- Schedule: Mandatory US Eastern Time Shift (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST / 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM PHT).
- Work Setup: A high-spec PC capable of GPU rendering, stable high-speed internet with backup power, and a licensed copy of SolidWorks Professional.
- 90 Days: Build a configurable SolidWorks library from existing catalog items.
- 6 Months: Independently manage the full Concept → Tooling → Manufacturing pipeline with zero factory-side revisions.
We offer real product ownership, long-term stability, and the chance to work on a high-variety of custom architectural projects. You aren't just a back-office resource; you are a key part of our commercial output.
