Job description

Duties and responsibilities of Front Office Associate
  • Represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest's stay
  • Determines a guest's reservation status and identifies how long the guest will stay
  • Verifies the guest's method of payment and follows established credit-checking procedures
  • Work closely with the housekeeping department in keeping room status reports up to date and coordinates requests for maintenance and repair work
  • Must be sales minded, presents options and alternatives to guests and offers assistance in making choices
  • Follow up and follow through guests' concerns to concerned departments
  • Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the management through supervisor
  • Performing cashier related functions like posting charges to guest accounts, rising paid out's
  • Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area
  • Assists in training new colleagues in performing job duties based on company standards and policies/procedures

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, or any related field is preferred.
  • Hands on experience with office machines (for example fax, printer etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Customer-oriented mindset
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
