Professional Mechanical Engineer | Contract Manager (Hotel Industry)
About the Role
The Professional Mechanical Engineer / Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, maintenance, compliance, and technical management of building facilities, engineering systems, and site services within the assigned account.The role ensures efficient delivery of integrated facilities management services, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, cost optimization, and high levels of client satisfaction.
The position manages technical operations involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and other critical building systems while leading onsite teams and coordinating with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.The role may also support hotel operations by ensuring seamless functionality of guest-facing facilities, back-of-house engineering services, hospitality standards compliance, and uninterrupted operations that contribute to an excellent guest experience.
What You'll Be Doing
Facilities Operations Management- Manage day-to-day facilities and hotel engineering operations across assigned sites/accounts.
- Ensure smooth operations of all building systems including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Oversee hotel support facilities such as guestrooms, kitchens, laundries, function rooms, common areas, and back-of-house operations to maintain operational efficiency and guest comfort.
- Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure maximum uptime and service reliability.
- Lead facilities teams, technicians, and service providers in delivering quality services aligned with SLA and KPI requirements.
- Conduct regular facility inspections and audits to ensure compliance with operational, hospitality, and safety standards.
- Oversee operation and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Review engineering plans, maintenance programs, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine engineering standards, building codes, hospitality standards, and safety regulations.
- Provide technical recommendations for equipment upgrades, repairs, and energy-saving initiatives.
- Support project implementation including renovations, fit-outs, CAPEX initiatives, and hotel refurbishment projects.
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients regarding facilities, engineering, and operational concerns.
- Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, contractors, hotel operations teams, and internal departments.
- Prepare operational reports, incident reports, and business reviews for clients and management.
- Address client concerns promptly and ensure high customer and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations including DOLE, PEZA, BFP, DENR, and local ordinances.
- Lead implementation of health, safety, environmental, sustainability, and hospitality compliance programs.
- Ensure all permits, licenses, and engineering documentation are updated and compliant.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage site operational budgets and monitor expenses.
- Review service contracts and vendor performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, operational improvements, and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Assist in procurement, billing validation, and budget forecasting.
- Supervise and mentor engineering and facilities personnel.
- Conduct performance management, coaching, and training of team members.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME) in the Philippines.
- At least 5–8 years of experience in facilities management, building operations, property engineering, or hotel engineering operations.
- Strong background in integrated facilities management, building systems, technical operations, and hospitality support services.
- Experience handling corporate, commercial, industrial, healthcare, hospitality, hotel, or mixed-use facilities is preferred.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience.
- Knowledgeable in preventive maintenance systems, safety compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and facilities management reporting tools.
- Preferably experienced in hotel engineering operations.
