Job Description:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for central financial control and operational financial management of the organization. The role ensures financial stability, sustainability, compliance, and efficient allocation of company resources through strategic financial planning and disciplined financial systems management.
CORE FUNCTION:
To oversee and manage the company’s overall financial operations, ensuring sound financial planning, cash flow management, budgeting, reporting accuracy, and long-term financial sustainability.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. FINANCIAL PLANNING- Develop and implement strategic financial plans aligned with company objectives.
- Forecast financial performance and organizational financial needs.
- Monitor financial risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Oversee company cash flow and liquidity management.
- Ensure timely availability of operational funds.
- Monitor receivables, payables, and financial obligations.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets.
- Monitor departmental spending and budget utilization.
- Implement cost-control measures to improve financial efficiency.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports.
- Present financial analysis and performance updates to management.
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop strategies for long-term financial sustainability.
- Assess financial viability of operational initiatives.
- Support organizational growth through sound financial management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial management.
- At least 3–5 years in a senior leadership or executive-level finance role.
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent understanding of accounting standards, taxation, compliance, and financial regulations.
- Proven experience in cash flow management and operational finance.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and confidentiality.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in financial management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
