A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR ROLE
As an Operational Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our finance operations team by ensuring core operational processes run efficiently and meet client expectations. This role focuses on optimizing finance procedures, managing client and matter setup, ensuring accurate rates administration, maintaining compliance with client terms, and delivering consistent support across multiple tasks.
You’ll also support ongoing process improvements and contribute to a culture of collaboration and innovation across finance operations.
YOUR DAY COULD SEE YOU:
- Ensuring client rates are accurately interpreted, implemented, updated, and maintained
- Responding to queries via shared mailboxes, including the Operational Accounts Helpdesk
- Supporting onboarding, offboarding, and employee movement tracking
- Implementing new/revised client agreements, ensuring accurate documentation in CRM and iManage
- Collaborating with business and finance managers to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Developing expertise in key systems through training and hands-on experience
- Supporting ad hoc firm-wide projects as needed
- Troubleshooting and maintaining time recording functionality
- Preparing and delivering ad hoc financial and client reports
- Generating and distributing Volume-Based Discount reports to key stakeholders
- Assisting with daily audit coordination and quality assurance reporting
- 4–5+ years of experience in finance operations, legal support, or professional services
- Background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Experience working with Aderant Classic/Framework, iManage, or similar systems (preferred)
- Prior experience in the legal sector preferred; professional services background welcome
- Demonstrated experience in client and/or rates management
- Exposure to commercial pricing models (a plus)
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate clearly, manage multiple tasks, and work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong written/oral communication skills
