CONTENTAS SHARED SERVICES PHILIPPINES INC. is establishing a new Shared Services Center in Manila and is hiring the founding team of Accountants who will help define how we operate.

We work in close partnership with established European accounting firms, providing the financial infrastructure that supports their clients' growth.

We are now bringing that experience to Manila and building a team that will become a permanent extension of our European operations. As part of this, we are equipping every accountant on our team with the skills to use AI in their daily work, giving you a real competitive edge in your career.

• You will work from our modern Manila office for part of the week and have the option to work from home on the remaining days.

What you will do

As an Accountant on our international team, you will be responsible for the full scope of accounting for a portfolio of clients, including:

• Day-to-day bookkeeping: posting invoices, bank reconciliations, expense handling
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable management
• Payroll postings and reconciliations
• Monthly and quarterly closings
• VAT and other statutory filings
• Preparing trial balances and financial reports
• Supporting year-end closing and annual reports
• Liaising with our European accounting firm partners and their clients on accounting matters
• Using AI tools to work faster and more accurately, under our guidance and standards
• Contributing to the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of our processes, including how we apply AI across the team

You will work in modern cloud accounting platforms, alongside AI-enabled workflows, and collaborate daily with colleagues and clients across Europe.

Most of our clients are larger NASDAQ-listed companies, scaleups, and startups operating internationally. This gives our accountants exposure to sophisticated financial environments, cross-border transactions, and accounting standards that go well beyond entry-level work.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 2 to 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience, ideally with international or offshore clients
• Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, accruals, and month-end close
• Confidence working independently and managing your own client portfolio
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Proficiency in Excel and cloud-based accounting software
• A detail-oriented, organised, and proactive mindset
• Curiosity about AI and a willingness to learn how to use it in your daily work
• Ability to work effectively in both office and remote settings
• Comfort working a flexible mid-shift that overlaps with European business hours

• CPA or in progress
• Experience with cloud accounting platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar
• Previous experience serving European or international clients
• Exposure to GAAP, IFRS, or other international accounting standards
• Prior hands-on experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) in a professional setting
• Prior experience working with clients in pharma, medical, airlines, consulting, engineering, or related industries
• Prior experience supporting an SSC, BPO, or offshore accounting team
