Automotive Aftersales Technician

This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence and building lasting customer relationships.

1. Performing routine vehicle maintenance services including oil changes, fluid top-ups, filter replacements, and tyre rotations
2. Diagnosing vehicle faults and malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge to identify issues accurately
3. Executing repair work on mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems with precision and attention to detail
4. Conducting thorough vehicle inspections and providing customers with transparent reports on vehicle condition and recommended services
5. Following manufacturer specifications and service protocols to ensure all work meets quality standards and warranty requirements
6. Recording service history and maintenance records accurately in the workshop management system
7. Communicating effectively with customers to explain technical issues, service recommendations, and repair timelines in clear, non-technical language
8. Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
9. Liaising with the service manager and parts department to ensure efficient workflow and timely parts availability
10. Supporting customer queries and concerns during and after service completion to ensure customer satisfaction

1. Completed formal training or certification in automotive mechanics, electrical systems, or a related automotive trade qualification
2. Proven experience as an automotive technician, preferably with 1+ years in an after-sales or service environment
3. Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems, including engine mechanics, transmission, braking systems, electrical components, and engine management systems
4. Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, computerised service systems, and workshop management tools
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to troubleshoot complex vehicle issues methodically
6. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and internal team members
7. Ability to work efficiently under time pressure whilst maintaining high standards of workmanship
8. Commitment to health and safety practices and adherence to workshop protocols
9. Physical fitness and dexterity to perform hands-on technical work in varied workshop conditions
10. A valid driver's licence
