Job Summary

The Commis is responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of Japanese dishes while maintaining food quality, cleanliness, and kitchen standards. The role supports the kitchen team in daily operations and ensures that all food is prepared according to established recipes and procedures.

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of Japanese menu items.
• Prepare ingredients, including cutting, portioning, and storing food properly.
• Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Assist in inventory management and proper stock rotation (FIFO).
• Coordinate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Chef de Partie

• At least 1 year of experience in a Japanese restaurant or similar kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of basic Japanese food preparation techniques is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible and willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays when required.
• Willing to work in Makati City or Pasay City.
• Can start as soon as possible.
