About the role
Polystar Manpower Services is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team in Paranaque City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position offering a strategic opportunity to lead accounting operations and drive financial excellence within our organisation.As Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing financial accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role is pivotal to our finance function and will directly impact the integrity and reliability of our financial information.
What you'll be doing- Oversee and manage all financial accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting to senior management and external stakeholders
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on accounting principles, procedures and best practices
- Maintain and improve internal accounting controls and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
- Manage audit activities and coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with tax authorities on relevant matters
- Review and analyse financial data to identify trends, variances and areas for cost optimisation
- Maintain accurate and organised financial records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Liaise with other departments to ensure proper cost allocation and expense tracking
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Professional accounting certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in financial accounting and reporting roles, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
- Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards (PAS) and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
- Excellent understanding of financial controls, audit processes and regulatory compliance requirements
- Proven ability to manage and develop team members effectively
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Experience with tax compliance and payroll accounting is advantageous
