Senior / Team Lead – IT Cloud Infrastructure

Job Summary

You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with internal engineering, DevOps, and product teams, acting as a subject matter expert in cloud strategy, infrastructure design, and operations excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the architecture, deployment, and support of scalable and secure cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Lead and manage a team of cloud engineers; define team goals, assign tasks, and track KPIs.
• Design, implement, and automate cloud resource provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Define and enforce best practices for infrastructure as code (IaC), monitoring, and governance.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure high availability and performance of systems through proactive monitoring and incident management.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) processes and implement long-term solutions to recurring issues.
• Manage 3rd-party application integrations and ensure platform interoperability.

• Design secure cloud environments, implement access controls, and conduct regular vulnerability assessments.
• Set up dashboards, define thresholds, establish alerting systems, and ensure responsive incident handling.
• Optimize cloud spending through cost analysis, budgeting, and vendor management.

• Review, maintain, and enforce documentation standards for cloud infrastructure and network architecture.
• Conduct periodic assessments and updates to infrastructure policies and disaster recovery plans.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience managing cloud infrastructure and services in enterprise environments.
• 3+ years of team leadership experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles.
• Proven experience with network architecture, data center operations, and cloud security.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Strong background in virtualization, Active Directory, storage systems, and automation tools.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk).
• Familiarity with APIs, Oracle and MSSQL databases, and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.).

Certifications (Preferred):

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Google Cloud Certified.
• Additional certifications such as CISSP, ITIL, CEH, or CompTIA are highly desirable.
