Tax and Compliance Specialist

The Tax and Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all applicable tax laws and government regulations. Prepares, reviews, and files all tax returns and statutory reports accurately and on time. Handles BIR requirements, tax audits, and provides support in tax planning and regulatory compliance matters.

• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (VAT, EWT, Income Tax, and related attachments) in compliance with BIR deadlines.
• Review transactions and accounting records to ensure proper tax treatment and documentation.
• Reconcile tax accounts and ensure accuracy of balances in the general ledger.
• Coordinate with BIR and other government agencies for registration, updates, and compliance requirements.
• Assist during BIR audits and handle submission of supporting documents.
• Monitor changes in tax laws, regulations, and issuances affecting the company.
• Prepare tax-related reports and schedules required for internal and external audits.
• Support management in tax planning, and compliance improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with external consultants or auditors as needed.
• Ensure timely submission of reports to government agencies (SEC, LGUs, BOC, etc.)

• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and BIR processes (VAT, EWT, Income Tax, etc.)
• Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with BIR eFPS/eBIRForms system
• Strong communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Can work onsite (Eastwood, Quezon City)
