Safety Officer 3 (Project Based)

Industry: Construction / Marine / Port Works

We are looking for a qualified Safety Officer 3 to join our team for construction projects, preferably with experience in marine, port, pier, jetty, reclamation, or coastal works.

The candidate must be SO3-certified and should have the required Life Saver / Basic Life Support and First Aid training commonly required for construction and marine project sites.

• Implement and monitor the project’s safety and health program.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with DOLE, OSH, and project-specific safety requirements.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as lifting operations, hot works, confined space work, working at heights, marine access, and works near or over water.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety orientations, and safety briefings.
• Prepare and maintain safety reports, permits, incident reports, and inspection checklists.
• Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and client representatives on safety matters.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and site safety equipment.
• Assist in emergency response planning, including rescue procedures for marine or waterside works.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective actions.

• Must be a certified Safety Officer 3.
• Must have completed Life Saver / Basic Life Support and First Aid training.
• Preferably with experience in marine construction, port projects, coastal works, reclamation, piling, or heavy civil works.
• Familiar with DOLE OSH requirements and construction safety documentation.
• Able to conduct toolbox meetings and safety orientations.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Willing to be assigned to project sites.
• Experience with lifting works, marine access, working near water, and emergency response is an advantage.

• Port, pier, wharf, jetty, or marine infrastructure projects.
• Construction projects involving cranes, heavy equipment, lifting operations, welding, excavation, or work over water.
• Coordination with clients, consultants, government agencies, and subcontractors.
