L1 IT Support Engineer (Wintel / Windows Server)

Job Summary
We are looking for an L1 IT Support Engineer to support a critical enterprise IT environment. This role focuses on daily operations across:
- Wintel (Windows Server, Active Directory)
- Data Center operations (remote monitoring & coordination)
- Backup systems (monitoring and troubleshooting)
The engineer will be responsible for monitoring, initial troubleshooting, incident handling, and operational support to help maintain stable services in a 24/7 offshore environment.
Job Responsibilities- Work in a 24/7 support model (Shift Rotation).
- Support operations aligned with customer business hours in CET time zone.
- Provide remote support for Windows Server, Active Directory, and end-user systems.
- Monitor infrastructure (Server and Storage).
- Perform initial troubleshooting and execute operational tasks based on SOP.
- Monitor and troubleshoot backup jobs; perform restore tasks when required.
- Handle incidents and escalate issues to L2 / L3 / vendors when needed.
- Join incident calls when required (international environment).
- Update tickets, handover notes, and operational documents clearly (in English).
- Work closely with internal teams, onsite teams, and vendors to support issue resolution.
Job Qualifications
Must Have Skill(s):
- The candidate should be comfortable with troubleshooting and working in a remote operations environment.
- Good working knowledge in the following areas: At least 1 yr of experience
- Wintel (Software Application)
o Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
o Active Directory (user, group, basic GPO, permissions)- Basic Networking:
- Backup:
- Data Center fundamentals:
o Understanding of server, storage, virtualization concepts
o Ability to analyze alerts and coordinate remote troubleshooting
Good to Have Skill(s):
- Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow or equivalent)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of VMware / Hyper-V

Work location: Paseo Makati / Cebu IT ParkWork schedule: Rotational, 24x7 Operation
