BOOKKEEPER

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is designed for a professional with a solid foundation in Australian bookkeeping who is looking to apply their skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

You will be responsible for day-to-day financial tasks, ensuring that all records for our Australian clients are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with local standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Daily Operations & Transactions
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular, accurate reconciliations to ensure all accounts match bank statements.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage the full cycle of money coming in and going out.
  • Invoicing & Billing: Generate and send invoices promptly to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Expense Management: Processing expense claims and reimbursements for staff.
  1. Payroll & Compliance
  • Payroll Processing: End-to-end processing for Australian teams, ensuring correct tax withholdings and superannuation contributions.
  • BAS/IAS Preparation & Lodgement: Accurate preparation and timely filing of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements.
  1. Reporting & Maintenance
  • P&L & Trial Balance: Preparation of Profit & Loss statements and Trial Balance reporting to track business health.
  • End-of-Month (EOM): Full management of the EOM reporting process and folder preparation.
  • Fixed Asset Schedules: Ongoing maintenance and depreciation tracking of company assets.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience using Xero Software.
  • Familiarity with Xero add-ons, such as Dext (formerly Receipt Bank), Hubdoc, and Futrli, is a plus but not essential
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience in Australian bookkeeping and taxation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage your workload independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to high-quality customer service and precision
