Job Summary

The Assistant Accounting Manager supports the Accounting Manager in overseeing the company’s property-management financial operations. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with Philippine accounting standards and tax regulations, and effective supervision of accounting staff.

The position plays a key role in budgeting, audits, and day-to-day accounting activities for managed properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for managed properties
  • Ensure timely billing, collection, and proper recording of rental income, association dues, and other property-related revenues
  • Monitor expenses, accruals, and allocations across properties
  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), BIR requirements, and local regulatory agencies
  • Prepare and review tax filings, including VAT, withholding taxes, and annual income tax returns
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and government agencies
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff; review their work for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist in improving accounting processes, internal controls, and system implementations
  • Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
  • CPA license is preferred
  • At least 2–5 years of accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and accounting standards
  • Experience handling multiple entities or properties is an advantage
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Close attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions
