Multi-Skilled Technician

The Multi-Skilled Technician is responsible for executing maintenance, repairs, installations, and small-to-large project works across multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and civil tasks. The role combines technical maintenance duties with the ability to handle projects independently based on blueprints and plans, with minimal supervision.In the absence of the Multi-Skilled Lead Technician, the role may also provide temporary guidance to fellow technicians to ensure work quality and timely completion.
Key Responsibilities- Routine Maintenance and Repairs
○ Perform regular inspections of buildings and facilities to identify issues.
○ Conduct repairs and maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.○ Ensure that all maintenance activities meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Preventative Maintenance
○ Maintain and update records of maintenance schedules and work completed.
- Emergency Response
○ Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs as needed.
- Property Upkeep
○ Support landscaping and exterior upkeep when required and applicable.
- Collaboration, Reporting & Documentation
○ Work closely with property management and other departments to coordinate maintenance efforts.
○ Report on maintenance status, highlight major repairs, and suggest upgrades when necessary.○ Maintain accurate logs of all work performed, tools used, and issues encountered.
- Project Execution
○ Execute small- to large-scale projects (renovations, installations, fabrications, upgrades, construction and deconstruction and upgrades) with minimal supervision.
○ Read and implement technical blueprints and drawings accurately.○ Coordinate with vendors/contractors during specialized project phases.
- BOQ / BOM & Project Support
○ Prepare and propose basic Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Bill of Materials (BOM) for repairs and projects based on site requirements.
○ Provide Estimate materials, labor, and tools required for assigned tasks.○ Monitor actual material usage against estimates and report variances.
- Temporary Leadership (in the absence of Lead Technician/Foreman)
○ Provide guidance to fellow technicians, assign tasks, monitor and support work quality.
○ Ensure maintenance and project activities are carried out efficiently, safely and within SLA.○ Assist the Supervisor in on-the-job training or performance feedback when delegated.
○ Assigned other tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 2–4 years of experience in multi-trade projects, building maintenance, construction, or technical services.
- Strong knowledge in at least three trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, or civil works).
- At least 1–2 years’ exposure in projects, from planning to execution.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and repair across multiple systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, civil).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics, and prepare basic BOQ.
- Familiarity with safety codes, standards, and preventive maintenance practices.
- At least 1 TESDA NCII/NCIII or equivalent certification/license in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or masonry.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to step up as a peer leader when required.
- Physically fit to perform hands-on technical and project work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior technicians, especially in the absence of a lead/foreman.
- Training or certification in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), Basic First Aid, or Fire Safety.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license (DL Code B1/B2), advantageous for site mobility as a back-up plan.
- Preferably with experience in studio projects set-up and construction.
- Preferably with certification on Mechanical or Plumbing.
