About the role

As a Safety Supervisor at SYC Philippine Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees on construction sites in Pasig City, Metro Manila. This full-time position is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

• Generates Safety Plan and Risk Assessment in coordination with the Process Owners for mitigation
• Enforce all safe systems of work.
• Audits unsafe acts and reports the outcome to the Project Manager.
• Conducts Orientation to newly hired employees
• Conducts Toolbox Meeting, Safety Training and other necessary training as fit by the management
• Conducting regular site inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards
• Providing safety training and education to construction workers to promote a culture of safety awareness
• Investigating and documenting any incidents or accidents, and implementing corrective measures
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies
• Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to develop and review safety plans
• Maintaining detailed records and reports on safety performance and initiatives
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in safety practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Safety Supervisor or in a similar role within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with workers and management
• Ability to think critically, problem-solve and make sound judgements in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in using safety equipment, monitoring tools and incident reporting systems
• Commitment to promoting a positive safety culture and continuous improvement
• Relevant safety certifications or training, such as NEBOSH or IOSH, would be highly desirable
