GUIDANCE COUNSELOR
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Guidance Counselor to support the academic, emotional, and career development of students. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the school’s guidance program and providing counseling services in accordance with institutional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address students’ academic, emotional, behavioral, and social concerns.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate guidance programs, including orientations, seminars, and student development activities.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including assessments, case notes, and reports.
- Monitor and assess student performance, attendance, and behavior, and provide appropriate interventions.
- Coordinate and communicate with parents, teachers, and school administrators regarding student concerns and progress.
- Facilitate career guidance, college preparation, and scholarship opportunities for students.
- Conduct seminars, workshops, and school-wide activities related to mental health, personal development, and career awareness.
- Assist in handling student incidents, behavioral concerns, and referrals, ensuring proper documentation and follow-through.
- Establish and coordinate with external agencies or professionals for referrals when necessary.
- Support and participate in school events, programs, and administrative activities as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling or related field
- With at least 1–2 years of relevant experience in a school or counseling setting (preferred)
- With training in mental health, child protection, or student development programs (an advantage)
- Possesses strong communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity
- Proficient in documentation, report preparation, and basic computer applications
Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday (8:00AM-5:00PM)
