About the role
DM Electrical Engineering Services is seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team on a full-time basis in Cebu City, Cebu. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across a variety of projects.As an Electrician, you will play a critical part in ensuring that our clients' electrical infrastructure is safe, efficient, and compliant with all relevant regulations. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern equipment and contribute to projects that impact both residential and commercial sectors.
What you'll be doing- Installing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Conducting routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Diagnosing electrical faults and troubleshooting problems using appropriate testing equipment
- Repairing or replacing faulty electrical components, wiring, and equipment
- Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Ensuring all work complies with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations
- Collaborating with other tradespeople and project managers to coordinate work on site
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Providing excellent customer service and communicating clearly with clients about work progress and recommendations
- Adhering to health and safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
- A recognised electrical qualification or relevant trade certification from an accredited institution (NC2)
- Proven experience working as an Electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and technical drawings
- Competence in using a range of electrical testing and diagnostic tools and equipment
- Sound understanding of electrical theory and principles
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in varied environments, including at heights and in confined spaces
- A commitment to health and safety practices on site
- A valid driver's licence is advantageous
- Previous experience in a fast-paced commercial or industrial setting is preferred
