About the role

Excel Coil Coating Corp. is seeking a Safety Officer to join our team. As a Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and contractors at our project site. Your primary focus will be to implement and monitor safety policies and procedures, identify and mitigate potential hazards, and promote a strong safety culture across the organization.

This role is a project-based employment and may be assigned to different projects all over the Philippines.

What you'll be doing

Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and address safety issues
Develop, implement, and update safety plans and procedures to comply with relevant health and safety regulations
Provide training and support to employees and contractors on safety best practices
Investigate and document incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions
Liaise with government authorities and other stakeholders on safety-related matters
Maintain detailed records and reports on safety performance and initiatives
Continuously seek opportunities to improve safety standards and practices

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 1 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role within the construction industry
Strong knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and best practices
Ability to assess and identify safety issues using HIRAC process
With training and certification related to Working At Heights, desired
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with personnel at all levels
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and mitigate safety risks
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in safety report writing and data analysis
