Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Mechanical Engineer and Master Plumber with extensive experience in MEPF systems design and construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading design efforts, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and working closely with implementation teams to ensure proper execution on-site.This role also includes signing and sealing documentation required for permits and regulatory approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and coordination of mechanical systems including HVAC (air conditioning and ventilation), plumbing, compressed dry air (CDA), and fire protection systems.
- Review, approve, and ensure accuracy of mechanical and plumbing system designs, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Provide sign and seal of engineering documents for Building Permits, Occupancy Permits, Developmental Permits, and other related regulatory requirements needed for project execution.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other design professionals to ensure integrated MEPF solutions.
- Coordinate with project and site teams to ensure the proper implementation of designs.
- Conduct site inspections to verify that mechanical works are carried out according to approved plans and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and technical evaluations, especially for mechanical systems (preferably with prior experience in estimation).
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and designers to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with local and international codes, standards, and best practices in mechanical engineering and construction.
- Use MEPF-related design tools and software for planning, drafting, and documentation.
- Attend client meetings, inspections, and technical coordination sessions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Mechanical Engineer and Registered Master Plumber (REQUIRED)
- Minimum of 2–3 years professional experience in MEPF design and construction
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MEPF-related software tools
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and permit requirements
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills
- Willing to travel to project sites for inspections and team coordination
- Preferably knowledgeable in mechanical cost estimation
