Dental Nurse/ Assistant
To assist dentist in clinical procedures ■ To make patients as comfortable as possible within the clinic premises. To offer refreshments, magazines, movie or music selection while waiting in the room; to adjust the head support and inclination of the dental chair ■ To familiarize and prepare the instruments/materials/ equipment needed for every procedure, be it general procedures or surgeries ■ Wash, pack, and perform the three-step sterilization process of the instruments ■ Pack and sterilize drapes/ towels needed in the surgery.
■ Take and organize the photos and radiographs ■ Send the radiographs/photos to the patient’s email within 24 hours ■ Lubricating the handpieces at the end of the day ■ Organization of dental instruments and dental materials to its designated cabinet/ drawers; to be done on a daily basis ■ Refilling of stocks/consumables per room(bib, tissue, plastic cups, gloves, etc) ■ Gearing up and down of rooms before and after each patients, respectively ■ Inventory of supplies ■ Laboratory coordination and organization of dental cases ■ Monitoring of equipment if due for maintenance check-up or repair ■ To secure patient’s vital signs prior to surgery.To double check if clearances are secured and consent forms are signed ■ To assist the surgeon during medical and dental emergencies ■ Laboratory coordination and organization of dental cases ■ Blood extraction for PRF
