About the Role
Clibase Technology Inc. is looking for a Junior Software Engineer who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the development of business software solutions, including Point-of-Sale, Enterprise Management Systems, reporting modules, inventory systems, booking systems, and other cloud-based applications.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in programming, problem-solving, and database concepts, and who is willing to be trained in real-world software development, debugging, system improvement, and client-driven business requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of web-based business applications.
- Write clean, organized, and maintainable code based on project requirements.
- Support the development of modules, reports, APIs, and system features.
- Help troubleshoot bugs, system errors, and performance issues.
- Work with senior developers in analyzing technical requirements and converting them into system functions.
- Perform basic database queries, data checking, and backend validation.
- Participate in testing, debugging, and quality assurance activities.
- Coordinate with the development team, support team, and project leads for issue resolution.
- Document technical updates, code changes, and development progress when needed.
- Continuously learn and improve technical skills based on company standards and best practices.
- Graduate of BS Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or any related course.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- With basic knowledge of web development and programming logic.
- Familiarity with any of the following is an advantage:
- PHP
- JavaScript
- HTML / CSS
- MySQL
- REST API
- Git or version control
- Basic understanding of databases, SQL queries, and system workflows.
- Willing to learn existing codebase, frameworks, and company development standards.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions carefully.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Responsible, trainable, and committed to professional growth.
- Experience with CodeIgniter, Laravel, Node.js, or similar frameworks is a plus.
- Knowledge of POS systems, inventory systems, ERP, or business software is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of debugging tools and browser developer tools.
- Exposure to cloud servers, APIs, or real-time applications is a plus but not required.
- Training and mentorship from experienced software developers.
- Exposure to real business software used by merchants and enterprises.
