Project Manager - Sales and Marketing
Position Overview
The Project Manager – Sales and Marketing will play a critical role in driving the execution of key sales and marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and organizational priorities. This position is ideal for a highly organized, analytical, and results-driven professional with proven experience in either sales/marketing or project management—and a strong interest in expanding their expertise in the other area.
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of projects, from initial planning to execution and evaluation. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Project Management and will collaborate closely with the Sales, Marketing, Lead Generation, Account Management, and Research teams to ensure cross-functional alignment and success.
This is a high-impact role that requires a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate and lead within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Familiarity with CRM systems and a solid understanding of sales processes and marketing best practices are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution- Develop detailed project plans for sales and marketing initiatives, including timelines, deliverables, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
- Drive execution of multiple concurrent projects while maintaining alignment with business priorities and deadlines.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address potential roadblocks or delays.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure timely communication of project developments.
- Act as a central point of contact between the Project Management Office (PMO) and cross-functional stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Lead Generation, Account Management, and Research.
- Facilitate regular alignment meetings, project briefings, and brainstorming sessions with partner teams.
- Ensure that all collaborators are clear on roles, responsibilities, and expectations throughout each project phase.
- Translate business objectives into structured project plans that support lead generation, pipeline growth, customer acquisition, and retention goals.
- Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns and sales enablement initiatives.
- Coordinate with the marketing team on campaign planning, content delivery, and performance analysis.
- Work with sales and lead gen teams to ensure readiness for campaign launches and product rollouts.
- Leverage CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) to manage project metrics, track sales activities, and analyze pipeline data.
- Identify inefficiencies in current processes and propose scalable solutions to improve project delivery and team productivity.
- Champion data integrity and process compliance within sales and marketing systems.
- Lead project team members through a structured project lifecycle, fostering accountability and a collaborative working environment.
- Provide clear and consistent communication regarding project objectives, status, and expectations to all relevant stakeholders.
- Manage feedback loops and adapt project plans as needed to meet evolving business needs.
- Produce and present regular project updates, dashboards, and post-mortem reports to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Use performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of projects and initiatives.
- Make data-driven recommendations to optimize future campaigns and sales strategies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in either sales/marketing, digital marketing, or project management, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex initiatives.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Proficient in CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent systems.
- Results-oriented, analytical thinker with a passion for continuous improvement and achieving measurable outcomes.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional sales and/or marketing projects.
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms
- Background in developing and executing sales/marketing strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership and project team management experience.
- Experience working in the BPO industry or a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
