Job Description
The Senior Auditor for Operations will be responsible for leading and performing audits of processes, systems, and procedures that support the end-to-end delivery of events. This includes reviewing budgeting and procurement practices, vendor management, logistics, compliance with contractual agreements, and onsite operational execution.The role involves assessing the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management measures across event-related operations while ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Senior Auditor will prepare clear, comprehensive audit reports with actionable recommendations and collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, logistics, and finance to ensure timely resolution of findings and implementation of corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and conduct operational audits covering event planning, procurement, vendor management, production, logistics, and financial reporting.
- Assess compliance with internal controls, risk management standards, and regulatory requirements in the context of event operations
- Identify process inefficiencies, risks, and gaps, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement
- Prepare clear and comprehensive audit reports and present findings to management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely resolution of audit findings and corrective actions
- Monitor implementation of corrective measures and track continuous improvements in event operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on event operations and process improvement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting audit findings to diverse stakeholders
- In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, internal controls, and risk assessment methodologies
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple audits and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in evaluating vendor compliance, contract management, and cost efficiency in event operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- CPA, CIA, or CISA certification is an advantage
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal auditing, operations auditing, or event-related operations
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, compliance, and operational best practices
- Experience in industries with complex workflows such as events, media, or production
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within deadlines
Leadership experience in mentoring or guiding team members
