About the role
Formaply Industries, Inc. is seeking a talented Purchasing Officer to join our team in our Metro Manila office. As Purchasing Officer, you will play a crucial role in our production and logistics operations, ensuring the timely procurement of high-quality materials and supplies to support our production processes.This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development within our dynamic organization.
What you'll be doing- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and secure the best prices for materials and supplies
- Conduct market research to identify new vendors and alternative sourcing options to optimize our supply chain
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, monitoring order status and addressing any issues or delays
- Collaborate with production, logistics and finance teams to forecast demand and plan purchasing activities accordingly
- Maintain detailed records of all purchasing activities and provide regular reports on vendor performance, costs and inventory levels
- Support the implementation of procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company guidelines and industry regulations
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the manufacturing or logistics industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Proficient in data analysis and the use of procurement software and systems
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address challenges and optimize the purchasing process
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order processing and record-keeping
- Flexible and adaptable, with the capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Trustworthy
- Graduate of 4 year course
