Senior Network Technical Engineer - NOC VoIP

Job Summary

You will be responsible for maintaining network stability, call quality, and service reliability across multiple global interconnections.

This position is designed for a mid to senior-level professional who can work independently, take ownership of technical operations, and proactively drive improvements. The role also offers the opportunity to grow into a future technical or NOC leadership position as the organization continues to expand.

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot SBC and VoIP infrastructure to ensure secure, stable, and high-quality voice traffic
• Monitor call traffic, routing performance, and overall network health across softswitch platforms
• Update and optimize routing to maintain quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness
• Initiate, test, and maintain carrier interconnections, including joint testing and technical validation
• Perform testing and quality assurance for new routes and carriers prior to production release
• Handle incoming and outgoing trouble tickets, ensuring timely resolution within defined SLAs
• Investigate call quality issues, routing failures, and traffic anomalies, including potential fraud indicators
• Collaborate with internal teams such as Account Management and Operations to support technical escalations and service requests
• Coordinate with other NOC teams to maintain consistent service quality across regions
• Proactively identify risks, recurring issues, and opportunities for network optimization

• Strong hands-on experience with VoIP and SBC technologies, including SIP and RTP protocols
• Solid background in NOC operations within a telecom, VoIP, or wholesale carrier environment
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex voice and signaling issues independently in a live network
• Experience with softswitch platforms such as FreeSWITCH or Asterisk
• Knowledge of ASTPP billing and routing systems is an advantage
• Familiarity with call routing, LCR, CDR analysis, and carrier rate management
• Working knowledge of Linux environments and basic database or SQL concepts
• Degree or diploma in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
• Strong English communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
• Willingness to work on a shifting schedule and be based onsite at Ortigas Center, Pasig
