Estimator (Commercial Fit-Outs) - Work from home - Manila
You will liaise with project managers, suppliers, and trades to ensure timely and precise pricing while maintaining cost databases and assisting with tender submissions.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with proven experience in construction estimating, strong Excel skills (PlanSwift a plus), and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial fit-out and office design projects.
- Perform quantity take-offs from architectural and engineering plans.
- Review and interpret plans, specifications, and scope of works to determine material, labour, and time requirements.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and distribute to relevant trades via email for pricing.
- Analyse subcontractor and supplier quotes, ensuring scope coverage and alignment with project requirements.
- Maintain and update pricing data, cost databases, and project files.
- Utilise Excel for job pricing, cost breakdowns, and reporting.
- Liaise with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with trades, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely submission of quotes and costings.
- Assist in tender preparation and submission processes.
- Perform other role-specific duties as they arise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for pricing, costing, and analysis (PlanSwift experience a plus).
- 5 years of proven experience as an Estimator within the construction, fit-out, or related industry.
- Solid experience with quantity take-offs and preparing Bills of Quantities.
- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with trades, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound understanding of construction methods, materials, and trade pricing structures.
