Be part of our client's team as a Junior Accountant, where you will handle financial statements, tax returns, and reconciliations while ensuring compliance with Australian tax regulations. - Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Exposure to accounting software such as Xero and MYOB (a plus but not required).
- Strong accountability and ability to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Solid accounting background with a general knowledge of multiple accounting areas.
- Experience in performing reconciliations across various accounts (e.g., Fixed Assets, Prepayments, Stock, Accruals) (preferred but not required).
- Strong comprehension skills.
- Ability to post general ledger journal entries based on calculated adjustments.
- Prepare financial statements and management accounts.
- Prepare and lodge income tax returns for individuals, trusts, and companies.
- Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS).
- Compile and organize financial collations.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations.
- Provide administrative support, including handling ATO correspondence.
- Assist with various ad hoc accounting tasks as required.
