Team Manager | Healthcare (Medical Billing)

We are seeking a results-driven Team Manager– Medical Billing to lead and support a team of medical billers in delivering high-quality, compliant, and efficient revenue cycle operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in physician billing, denial management, and accounts receivable follow-up, combined with proven leadership and coaching capabilities.

This role is responsible for driving team performance, maintaining SLA compliance, ensuring billing accuracy, and fostering continuous improvement within the billing operations team.

• Supervise and manage the daily performance of Physician Medical Billers
• Monitor productivity, quality, turnaround time, and SLA adherence
• Provide coaching, feedback, mentoring, and performance management support
• Handle escalations involving claim denials, rejections, and AR follow-up
• Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure billing accuracy and compliance
• Support onboarding, training, and continuous development of team members
• Ensure compliance with CMS-1500 guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and payer requirements
• Coordinate with Operations, QA, Training, and Client Services teams to achieve operational goals
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and collections performance
• Prepare and present team performance reports and operational updates

• 3–5 years of experience in Physician Medical Billing or Revenue Cycle Management
• 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of CMS-1500, CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, denial management, and AR follow-up
• Experience with physician billing systems, EMR/EHR platforms, payer portals, and clearinghouses
• Strong communication, leadership, coaching, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance
• Experience handling US healthcare accounts and prior BPO or healthcare outsourcing experience is an advantage
