Accounting manager

Key responsibilities

Perform end-to-end reconciliation of physical inventory against system records. Investigate discrepancies, track shrinkage, and post adjusting ledger entries.
Monitor and update inventory costing
Prepare inventory-related journal entries, roll-forwards, and reserve analyses
Develop, implement, and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Advanced MS Excel skills and hands-on experience with major ERP systems
High attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of standard costing methodologies

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Professional accounting qualification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting standards
Proficiency with accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Strong supervisory and team leadership capabilities
Knowledge of payroll processing, tax compliance and audit procedures
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
