Mechanical engineer

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Passed the Board Licensure Examination
• Experience in Mechanical Engineering and Design of process equipment, pumps, rotating equipment, vessels, and stress analysis including mechanical conveyance and feeding equipment is preferred, but not required.
• Has 10 years of experience working as an engineer in the Industrial Engineering Services Industry, EPC firms, or Production environment.
• Experience in Materials Engineering is an advantage.
• Experienced in Data Sheet & RFQ Preparation and Technical Bid Evaluation.
• Work background in one or more of the following industries: Energy and Chemicals, Power, Food and Beverage, Pharma and Biotech, Manufacturing
• ASME Code knowledge for pressure vessels and piping systems is required.
• Knowledgeable in International Codes & Standards.
• Some background in heat exchangers, rotating equipment, and materials are required.
• Strong communication skills required to provide effective inter-discipline coordination on projects, and project department communication.
• Must be available for field assignments involving travel to sites that involve work in industrial facilities.
• Strong attention to detail and capable of performing detailed technical documents and drawing checking.
• The position requires significant exposure to vendor document review, detailed assessment of vendor design accuracy, and specification compliance.
• Proficient in the following software AutoCad, MS Office, and other engineering software.
• Team player and has strong leadership skills
• Can work independently.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Provide leadership to drive mechanical technical design and project coordination.
• Attend Client and Internal Team meetings.
• Specify vessels, pumps, exchangers, rotating equipment, and other process equipment.
• Review vendor documents for compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Prepare equipment datasheets and full mechanical equipment and system specifications.
• Perform technical and economic evaluations, bid tabulations, and prepare recommendations.
• Manage Project Schedules and Budgets as well as provide weekly reports communicating project status, issues, and needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
