About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled, proactive, and collaborative Senior IT Specialist to serve as a technical anchor for our organisation's IT infrastructure and support functions. In this role, you will provide advanced troubleshooting, facilitate daily technical workflows, and offer technical guidance to junior team members.Working closely with the IT Manager, you will help maintain operational continuity and serve as a reliable technical backup during critical periods.
The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise across multiple operating systems, cloud environments, and networking frameworks, combined with strong communication skills to confidently support both internal teams and a diverse, international client base.
Ideal Candidate (Must Have Requirements)- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and support, plus at least 2 years in a Senior or Technical Lead role (focused on coordinating workflows, facilitating team tasks, and providing senior-level technical support).
- Proven experience providing technical assistance to foreign clients or working within a multicultural global business environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (equivalent practical experience and certifications will be highly valued).
- Advanced administration of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
- Solid grounding in Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and Firewalls).
- Hands-on experience with VoIP platforms and basic Database management.
- Strong familiarity with managing and troubleshooting Windows 11, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Proficient in written and verbal English communication skills, with the confidence to interface smoothly with international clients and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong collaborative mindset, high emotional intelligence, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Amenable to work on-site at our Cebu Site (IT Park, Cebu)
- Foundational background or understanding of Software Development / Scripting (e.g., PHP, Python, Bash, PowerShell) to assist with automation and internal tooling.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+/Security+, Fortinet NSE, or Microsoft/Google Administrator certifications).
- Technical Guidance & Facilitation: Serve as a technical point of escalation for the IT team; help guide junior support staff through complex issues, share technical knowledge, and facilitate daily task workflows.
- Operational Continuity: Act as a reliable secondary point of contact for the technical team, stepping in to facilitate daily operations and ensure seamless service continuity when required.
- Global Technical Support: Deliver top-tier remote access troubleshooting and system support to a diverse user base, including foreign clients and international stakeholders, ensuring an exceptional cross-cultural support experience.
- Infrastructure & Network Maintenance: Monitor, configure, and maintain local and remote network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalls, routing, and switches) to ensure robust security and high uptime.
- System & Cloud Administration: Administer and optimise cloud collaboration suites (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365) and manage enterprise email environments.
- Trouble Ticket Management: Monitor the helpdesk workflow to ensure technical issues are efficiently logged, prioritised, and resolved within established SLAs.
- Multi-Platform Support: Provide advanced deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting for Windows 11, macOS, and Linux environments.
- VoIP & Database Management: Manage corporate VoIP communication platforms and assist with basic database administration, backups, and user access controls
