Civil Engineer (Logistics)

A Civil Engineer (Logistics) for a Hydropower Project is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the logistical aspects of civil works to ensure smooth execution of the project. This includes overseeing material handling, transportation, site access, and supporting construction teams in the timely delivery of resources while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Logistical Planning: Develop and implement logistics plans to support civil works activities in the hydropower project, including access roads, temporary works, and site facilities.
• Material Management: Coordinate the sourcing, transport, and storage of construction materials to ensure timely availability at the site.
• Site Coordination: Support site teams in the movement of equipment, machinery, and materials to optimize workflow and avoid delays.
• Construction Support: Assist in supervising and monitoring civil works to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety, and environmental standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of material deliveries, equipment usage, and logistical operations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to align logistics with project schedules.
• Problem-Solving: Address logistical challenges such as difficult terrain, remote locations, or weather-related constraints.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience in logistics management within large-scale civil or infrastructure projects, preferably hydropower.
• Knowledge of construction materials, equipment handling, and site preparation.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in remote project sites and challenging environments.
