We are seeking an experienced Air-Conditioning Technician (Senior, Junior and Helper) with a strong background in the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial cooling systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing various types of AC units (split systems, central air, ductless, etc.), a deep understanding of HVAC safety protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
Key Responsibilities
Installation: Expertly install new air-conditioning systems, including window units, split systems, central air systems, and ductless mini-splits in residential and commercial properties.System Testing: Charge systems with refrigerant, test electrical circuits, check for leaks, and ensure all newly installed systems are running efficiently and safely.
Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine maintenance inspections, diagnose system failures, and execute necessary repairs on existing AC units.
Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers, explain system operations, provide maintenance tips, and ensure complete customer satisfaction upon job completion.Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all local building codes, environmental regulations (including proper refrigerant handling), and company safety policies.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, materials used, and hours worked using company software or logs.
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: Minimum of [2-5] years of proven experience as an AC/HVAC Technician, with a strong, demonstrable portfolio of installation work.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an HVAC training program at a technical or trade school is highly preferred.
Certifications: Valid HVAC certification (e.g., EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerants) or local equivalent.
Technical Skills: Proficient in reading schematics and blueprints; strong knowledge of electrical and refrigeration principles.
Tools: Familiarity with a wide range of HVAC tools and diagnostic equipment.
Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (company vehicle provided/required).
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and great communication abilities.
Physical RequirementsAbility to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and parts (up to 50+ lbs).
Comfortable working in confined spaces (crawl spaces, attics) and at heights (ladders, rooftops).
Ability to work in various weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, and bending.
