Lead ISP Cabling Supervisor

The Lead ISP Cabling Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of in-building (Inside Plant) structured cabling systems, including lead-in cabling from external networks into buildings. This role leads a team of technicians to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with industry standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install or manage installing team lead-in cables from outside plants (OSP) into buildings.
- Perform in-building structured cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, Fiber Optics)
- Route cables through risers, conduits, cable trays, and pathways
- Install and terminate cables in MDF/IDF rooms and telecom closets
- Perform cable pulling, termination, labeling, and dressing
- Install patch panels, racks, cabinets, and network equipment
- Ensure proper cable management and adherence to standards (TIA/BICSI)
- Test lines using industry tools (OTDR, Fluke testers)
- Lead and supervise structured cabling technicians onsite
- Assign daily tasks and monitor work progress
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality standards
- Train and mentor junior technicians
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues
- Rectify faults and ensure system reliability
- Prepare as-built drawings and installation reports
- Document test results and daily progress updates
- Maintain inventory of tools and materials

QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 2–5 years experience in structured cabling / telecom / ISP
- Experience in lead-in (OSP to ISP) installation is required
- Preferred with ECE License
- Knowledge of:
- Fiber optics (splicing, termination)
- Structured cabling standards (CAT6, backbone, horizontal cabling)
- Network fundamentals and telecom infrastructure
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Able to prepare as-built drawings and installation reports.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
