Tax Compliance Specialist
TAX COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST
Primary Objective
To prepare and pay tax returns, and submit required listings of the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file tax returns
- Prepare and submit BIR required listings
- Audit and validate accounting records for tax reporting
- Conduct branch tax mapping
Duties and Tasks:
Record Keeping and Compliance:
- Gather and secure complete compilation of BIR 2307 forms, both issued and received from customers
- Keep a systematic filing of all filed tax returns and reports both in hard and soft copies
- Maintain a file both hard and soft copies of tax returns filing source reports
- Ensure all issued BIR accountable forms issued every month end is on file and complete
- Ensure tax documentations is properly filed and easily accessible for audit purposes
- Ensure compliance to applicable BIR regulations, Finance and Accounting Division policies and procedures
- Report any compliance issues or irregularities to the Tax Compliance Supervisor
- Record tax payments in AMIS
Account Reconciliation:
- Provide gross sales for business tax base
- Validate system generated reports versus source documents and tax rates prior to tax filing and submission
- Identify and resolve any tax discrepancies and recommend for amendment, as necessary
- Ensure that tax accounts per books tie up with tax returns
