POSITION OVERVIEW

The Product Manager – Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) will be responsible for developing, launching, and driving the growth of the company's Nicotine Patch and future De-Addiction Product Portfolio across the Philippines.

This role goes beyond traditional product management and requires the successful candidate to establish the company's leadership position in smoking cessation, tobacco harm reduction, nicotine dependence management, and addiction therapy. The Product Manager will work closely with Pulmonologists, Internal Medicine Specialists, Family Medicine Physicians, Cardiologists, Psychiatrists, Government Health Institutions, Smoking Cessation Clinics, and Healthcare Organizations to build awareness, advocacy, and adoption of nicotine replacement therapies.

The position is expected to evolve into a strategic leadership role responsible for developing a specialized national business unit dedicated to smoking cessation and addiction management products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating the long-term business strategy, physician engagement model, scientific communication platform, commercial roadmap, and field force structure required to establish market leadership in this therapeutic area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Business Development
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive national strategy for Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) products.
  • Build and implement short-term, medium-term, and long-term business plans for Nicotine Patch products.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion into smoking cessation, tobacco harm reduction, nicotine dependence management, and related addiction therapy segments.
  • Develop annual marketing plans, growth forecasts, and market expansion strategies.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence and market landscape assessments.
  • Evaluate new product opportunities, licensing prospects, and portfolio expansion initiatives.
  • Prepare business cases and financial projections for management approval.
Brand Management
  • Lead all aspects of the product lifecycle from launch planning through maturity stage management.
  • Develop brand positioning and differentiation strategies.
  • Create impactful marketing campaigns targeting healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Establish scientific and clinical messaging aligned with international smoking cessation guidelines.
  • Develop promotional materials, detailing aids, digital assets, patient education tools, and scientific communication platforms.
  • Monitor product performance, sales trends, and market share growth.
  • Recommend tactical interventions to maximize brand performance.
Scientific and Medical Engagement
  • Build strong professional relationships with key Pulmonologists and smoking cessation specialists nationwide.
  • Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to develop advocacy and support for smoking cessation programs.
  • Collaborate with medical affairs teams on scientific presentations and educational activities.
  • Organize advisory boards, roundtable discussions, and scientific forums.
  • Support generation and dissemination of scientific evidence related to nicotine replacement therapy.
  • Stay updated on global developments in smoking cessation therapies and addiction medicine.
Market Development
  • Identify unmet needs within smoking cessation and addiction treatment markets.
  • Develop patient awareness and disease education programs.

  • Develop the commercial deployment strategy for Nicotine Patch products.
  • Design call plans, segmentation strategies, targeting models, and territory structures.
  • Train and coach field personnel on:

  • Product science

  • Objection handling
  • Establish performance metrics and productivity standards for the field team.
  • Work closely with Sales Management to ensure execution excellence.
Future Team Building and Business Unit Development
  • Develop the roadmap for establishing a specialized Smoking Cessation & De-Addiction Business Unit.
  • Recommend organizational structures required to support future growth.
  • Participate in recruitment, selection, onboarding, and development of future product specialists and sales representatives.
  • Build capabilities required for a national specialty sales force.
  • Develop succession planning and talent development initiatives within the business unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, Life Sciences, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA or Master's Degree is an advantage.
Experience
  • Minimum 8–12 years pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • At least 5 years in Product Management, Brand Management, or Marketing roles.
  • Experience in one or more of the following therapeutic areas:
