Marine Travel Consultant
About the role
As a Marine Travel Consultant 1 at Philscan Travel and Tours, Inc., you will be responsible for providing comprehensive travel planning and booking services to our valued maritime clients. In this full-time position based in Makati City Metro Manila, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient organisation of travel arrangements for seafarers and other maritime personnel.
What you'll be doing- Handles bookings, rebookings, and ticketing for domestic, regional, and some international travel.
- Communicates with clients, team members, and other business units professionally via various communication channels.
- Manages transactional requirements using tools such as mid office systems and client magic to ensure efficient travel arrangements.
- Managing changes and modifications to existing travel bookings
- Addresses ADMs and other minor issues as they arise, which is expected due to limited knowledge of complex fare rules.
- Supports administrative tasks including email and calendar management, office supply requisitions, and creation of payment request forms.
- Demonstrates basic proficiency with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and can provide accurate fare quotations based on client requirements.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and supplier offerings
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Travel Consultant
- Exhibits strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities, particularly in resolving booking issues to maintain client satisfaction.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle complex travel arrangements
- Proficiency in using travel booking systems and online platforms
- Attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain accurate records
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
