Junior Financial Analyst

The Junior Financial Analyst is responsible for managing core general accounting tasks from end to end. This role involves preparing and analyzing Operating Income Statement (OIS) reports, reconciling account schedules, maintaining financial databases, supporting the preparation of draft Financial Statements (FS) for year-end audits, and executing month-end and year-end closing activities.
The position ensures compliance with statutory reporting requirements and supports the financial integrity of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly Operating Income Statement (OIS) reports, including variance analysis
- Create and maintain Account Reconciliation Analysis (ARA) schedules
- Support the preparation of draft Financial Statements for external audit and statutory reporting
- Perform monthly and annual closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial book close
- Maintain financial data and ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial records
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards including Philippine GAAP and PFRS
- Assist in external audits by providing documentation and explanations
- Utilize SAP and other financial systems for data entry, reporting, and analysis
- Provide data-driven insights and financial analysis to support decision-making
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and resolve discrepancies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
- CPA, CMA, or CFA certification preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in financial reporting or general accounting
- Background in preparing financial statements and full-cycle accounting
- Prior external audit experience is a plus
- Experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry is an advantage
- Strong understanding of financial, accounting, and auditing principles
- Familiar with Philippine GAAP and PFRS
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, responsible, and able to work under pressure
