Site engineer

Reports To: Project Manager / Construction Manager

The Site Engineer is responsible for managing and supervising construction activities on-site to ensure that projects are completed according to approved plans, specifications, schedules, and safety standards. The role involves coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure quality workmanship and timely project delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily construction activities and ensure compliance with approved plans, drawings, specifications, and company standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding work schedules, materials, and site requirements.
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular site reports, including accomplishment reports and issue logs.
• Ensure proper implementation of safety procedures and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to engineering standards.
• Review construction plans and resolve technical issues encountered on-site.
• Assist in preparing project schedules, work programs, and material requisitions.
• Verify and check work accomplishments for billing and documentation purposes.
• Ensure efficient use of manpower, materials, and equipment on-site.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager regarding project status, delays, and corrective actions.
• Maintain proper documentation of site activities, drawings, and project records.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage (or required, if applicable).
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in construction or site supervision.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management processes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work on-site and extend working hours as needed.
