Mechanic

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Perform thorough inspections and utilize diagnostic tools (manual and electronic) to accurately identify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine faults on heavy equipment.
• Repair and Overhaul: Execute major and minor repairs on engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, braking systems, undercarriages, and other components of heavy machinery.
• Preventative Maintenance: Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, including lubrication, oil changes, filter replacements, adjustments, and inspections according to manufacturer specifications and company schedules.
• Inspections: Perform pre-operational checks and safety inspections on equipment. Inspect completed repairs to ensure work quality and safe operating condition.
• Record Keeping: Accurately document all maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, labor hours, and equipment condition using work orders, logs, and/or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Welding and Fabrication: Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks as required for equipment repair and maintenance.
• Parts Management: Identify required parts for repairs and preventative maintenance, potentially assisting with parts requisitioning or inventory tracking.
• Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and standard work practices. Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly at all times. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (implementing 5S principles is a plus).
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate heavy equipment for testing, diagnostic purposes, and moving within the workshop or yard.
• Field Service: Required to travel to job sites to perform emergency repairs or scheduled maintenance.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND/WORK EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

• Has TESDA Certification in Heavy Equipment Services/Mechanic NC II.
• 3 to 5 years work experience in related field.
• Driver's License restriction no. 2 & 3.
