Talent Development and Employee Relations Officer

Job Summary:

The HR Training Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing training and development programs that support employee growth and organizational performance. The role also involves managing onboarding, maintaining training records, supporting employee discipline processes, and contributing to a positive and compliant workplace environment.

The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and passionate about learning and employee success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Training and Development Coordination:
  • Identify training needs and design targeted programs to enhance employee skills.
  • Organize and deliver training sessions, workshops, and e-learning initiatives.
  • Source external training providers when needed.
  • Keep training materials updated and relevant.
  1. Training Administration and Record-Keeping:
  • Maintain training schedules, attendance logs, and employee training records.
  • Track training metrics and evaluate program effectiveness through feedback and outcomes.
  • Report training activities and progress to HR leadership.
  1. Onboarding and Orientation:
  • Deliver onboarding sessions to new employees, introducing them to company policies, culture, and procedures.
  • Continuously improve the onboarding experience to ensure smooth integration.
  1. Employee Discipline Support:
  • Assist in implementing employee discipline procedures in accordance with company policy.
  • Support HR Manager in documentation and investigation of disciplinary cases.
  • Ensure fair, transparent, and timely handling of disciplinary actions while maintaining confidentiality.
  1. Learning and Development Strategy Support:
  • Collaborate with managers to align training initiatives with departmental goals.
  • Promote a continuous learning culture across the organization.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives through targeted development plans.
  1. General HR Support:
  • Participate in HR projects such as employee engagement, policy development, and compliance activities.
  • Provide administrative support including scheduling, data entry, and report preparation.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR, training, or employee relations preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of employee discipline and workplace compliance practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HR/training software; LMS experience is a plus.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive issues professionally.
