CHIEF CREDIT CYCLE OFFICER

The credit cycles management function is involved in managing the entire credit lifecycle, from application to repayment or collection, fraud control and focusing on risk mitigation, financial control, and operational efficiency. As the primary executive responsible for overseeing this function, the Chief Credit Cycle Officer ensures that the bank’s lending practices are both profitable and compliant with regulatory standards.

This position demands a delicate balance between fostering business growth and maintaining a robust risk management strategy.

The responsibilities of a Chief Credit Cycle Officer are multifaceted, encompassing the development of credit policies, the assessment of creditworthiness, and the management of the bank’s credit portfolio. Alongside these responsibilities, the Chief Credit Cycle Officer shall address numerous challenges, such as navigating economic fluctuations, adapting to regulatory changes, and integrating advanced technologies into credit risk assessment processes.

Focus areas include:

  • - Test/ Develop models customized to UNO credit risk framework
  • Monitor model performance in real time to detect degradation
  • Refine decision strategies based on predictive insights
  • Analyze policy rules and track approval rates
  • Simulate potential decline rates and optimize credit strategies
  • Visualize key metrics across segments, loan types, and score distribution
  • Ensure LOS, LMS and collection systems are well managed and optimized for scale
  • Harmonized attributes across all major credit bureaus
  • Improved risk segmentation and borrower profiling
  • Optimized cost savings with a streamlined approach
  • Expand credit access for subprime and SME markets
  • Integrate predictive variables from various providers
  • Enhance fraud mitigation and ID verification

Qualifications/Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration; a background or degree in Engineering is preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred
  • At least 20 years of experience in a financial institution, specifically in consumer credit roles
  • Proven experience in handling application fraud and transaction fraud monitoring projects
  • Strong understanding of risk technologies to improve turnaround time (TAT) and drive automation in retail asset products
