Job Title: Human Resources (HR) Manager

Reports To: Director of Shared Services / Chief Operating Officer

Job Summary:

The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the full spectrum of human resources functions within the shared services organization. This includes talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, training and development, performance management, HR policy implementation, and compliance with labor laws.

The HR Manager ensures alignment of HR strategies with business goals, supports multiple business units, and fosters a high-performance, employee-focused culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Management
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy of the shared services environment.
  • Act as a strategic partner to department heads to address workforce needs and organizational development.
  • Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes to ensure timely hiring of qualified candidates across various departments.
  • Establish talent pipelines and employer branding strategies to attract top talent.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances; mediate and resolve workplace conflicts.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture through engagement programs and communication initiatives.
  • Performance Management
  • Administer performance appraisal systems and support managers in employee development plans.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to drive improvements.
  • Compensation and Benefits
  • Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and employee compensation structures.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and benchmark practices.
  • Training and Development
  • Identify training needs and create learning and development programs that enhance employee skills and career progression.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and make improvements where needed.
  • Policy Development and Compliance
  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures in accordance with labor laws and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including DOLE, SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, and other relevant agencies.
  • HR Data and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate HR records and prepare HR-related reports and analytics for leadership.
  • Use HR metrics to inform decision-making and improve processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, with 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably in a shared services or multi-functional organization.
  • Solid knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a shared services or BPO environment.
  • Certifications in HR (e.g., CHRP, SHRM-CP) are an advantage.
  • Exposure to process improvement tools or frameworks (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
